Frequently Asked Questions
-
Nope, our salon is 100% feline-focused! This means no barking, no distractions, and a calm environment designed just for cats.
-
Yes. We operate by appointment only (including nail trims) so each cat can receive our undivided attention and a peaceful grooming experience. You can call us or book online.
-
We provide full-service cat grooming, including bathing, brush-outs, haircuts, sanitary trims, de-shedding treatments, pawdicures (nail trims), nail caps, and more—always with your cat’s comfort and safety in mind.
-
It depends on your cat’s coat type, temperament, and the services being performed. Most appointments last 1–2 hours, but we’ll give you an estimated pick-up time when you arrive and call or text you when ready.
-
No. We do not use sedation. Our groomers are trained in gentle, feline-specific handling techniques to minimize stress. If we feel your cat is too anxious or aggressive to continue safely, we may recommend discussing sedation options with your veterinarian. We will accept cats on sedatives under the direction of your vet. However, we cannot administer medication on-site.
-
We typically begin grooming without owners present so we can focus fully on your cat and create a consistent environment. This helps us read their body language and adjust our handling techniques as needed. Once we see how your cat responds, we’ll decide together on the best approach, whether that means continuing as is, making adjustments, or exploring alternative options to keep the process safe and low-stress. You’re welcome to wait in our lobby or visit one of the near by coffee shops and restaurants while your cat is being groomed.
-
Try to keep your cat indoors and safe before the appointment. Please make sure they’re in a secure carrier for travel. For long-haired cats, regular brushing at home helps prevent mats between visits.
-
Severe matting may require shaving to ensure your cat’s comfort and skin health. We’ll always explain your options before proceeding.
-
It depends on their coat type and lifestyle. Long-haired cats typically benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks, while short-haired cats may need visits every 8–12 weeks.
-
Every cat is viewed as an individual. Depending on the scenario, we may ask you to return another day to finish. Alternatively, we may determine that we cannot complete grooming services for the safety of your cat and our staff. If we cannot complete the cat, you will only be charged for the services that were completed.
-
No, flea baths are not a preventative treatment. They help remove fleas present at the time of the bath, but they do not protect your cat from getting fleas again. For long-term protection, you’ll need a veterinarian-recommended flea preventative.
-
We do our best to remove as many fleas as possible during the bath, but we cannot guarantee that every flea or egg will be gone. Some fleas or eggs may remain, and re-infestation can occur if your cat returns to an environment where fleas are present.
-
The only vaccination we require is a current rabies vaccine. All other vaccinations are left to your veterinarian’s recommendation based on your cat’s individual needs and lifestyle.
-
We accept cash, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and gift certificates.
-
Cats typically return to their carrier after the groom, unless they didn't come in with one (we highly recommend using a carrier), in which case they would be placed in our cage bank. We are limited on space and do not have room for litter boxes. Therefore, we generally ask that the cats be picked up as soon as possible after they are notified that the groom is complete. If a client needs to drop off early or pick up later, we inform them that they will not have access to a litter box during their stay.

We have been using Botaniqa Products and love them! We use both the active line and the show line to determine which product works best with the cat's coat.
